In my painting I approach religious and mythological themes, searching for ancient stories and exploring the richness beneath them.
Throughout my practice I use the human form as the primary messenger of meaning, and the key holder of truth.

The European Baroque of the 17th Century provided much beautiful art to the world, and four centuries later it teaches me how to capture drama, dynamism, chiaroscuro, tenebroso, love, beauty, death... the grand wheel of life and so much more.
Cautiously I peel back the curtain of my own heritage and ancestral past, and there I find a deeply enriching world played out on the sub-continent of India. These paintings are as much about self discovery as anything I have ever done.
Through portraiture I focus on emotion, body language, and solidity of the human form. Portraiture is my way of connecting with others in transient moments and imparting the gift of love onto canvas.
