I am a designer and painter from London, welcome to my website.
In my painting I often approach religious and mythological themes, searching for ancient stories and exploring the richness beneath them.
Throughout my artistic practice I use the human form as the primary messenger of meaning, and the key holder of truth.
I am taking commissions, so please get in touch if you would like to create something beautiful together.
The first branch of my oil painting practice follows the European Baroque of the 17th Century, and in particular paintings from the Catholic Counter-Reformation. I have taken much inspiration from the drama, dynamism, and lightwork of this period.
The second branch takes inspiration from the Hindu spiritual canon and the epic Hindu script, the Mahabharata. I depict key moments of drama and importance in the ancient texts.
Beyond painting, I am part of a team developing a new type of concrete that functions symbiotically with moss. Our concrete is designed to allow moss to grow on its surface, paving the way for a new suite of construction materials that breathe life into the urban fabric.
